Fastest-Growing for 2 Years in a Row
Last week several team members and I attended the Portland Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Private Companies award show. It was our second year as a recipient, and we were eager to outpace ourselves.
If you haven’t been before, the award honors the 100 fastest-growing privately owned companies in Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon. Awards are presented in a countdown, with anticipation growing every minute. By the time we broke past the 40’s and COPIOUS’ name still hadn’t been called (I’m happy to say I missed my own bet on where we’d land) the tension was think. At last we hear our name — number 27!
Tim, Evan, Dann and I all made our way up the red carpet to shake some hands and accept the award. The fact that we all went up on stage together was a poetic depiction of what it took to achieve the growth we did: a team of talented and committed people.
It was a truly great night with some of Portland’s best companies — including one of our long-time clients, ID Experts. We have plans in the works to get them even higher up the list next year, but that’s all I can say...for now.
The award was a great chance to reflect on all the team had accomplished, as well as look ahead to all we’re committed to making happen for our clients this year.
In 2012 our goals are equally aggressive as last. We’ve added four people to the team so far this year and expect to add another five by the end of the year. Our clients are challenging us — and the team is stepping up in a big way to deliver. Keep an eye out! We have some ground-breaking work launching soon.
